In Memory
Patrick Shire, 13 year old son of John and Brenda Shire, died suddenly on January 3rd, 2009 after a tragic ski accident while attending a ski event with his team in the mountains of the PA/NY border. Patrick was beloved by all he touched with his kind personality, generosity, and amazing spirit. He excelled in just about everything he did from Karate and skiing to his scholastic studies and will always be remembered for his big heart, kindness, friendship and sportsmanship.
Patrick was taken from his family and this community at too young an age and will always be remembered and loved by those that he touched. Please take a moment to write your own special memory.
“Patrick was one of our first members at the Black Belt Academy and I had the pleasure of watching him grow into an outstanding young man. He always tried his best, never gave up, and was an example to others — always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow students. His positive attitude, competitive spirit, and kind heart, will be greatly missed in our do jang. Patrick was a true champion.”
