Master Nyce

Master Nyce has been a stable and influential leader in the martial arts industry for over 28 years. He has a well deserved reputation for having a keen business sense and the ability to lead others. He is admired for his ethical and solid business standards.

Master Nyce started his martial arts career with Master Jhoon Rhee, receiving his first degree Black Belt from Master Rhee in 1980. He was soon promoted to General Manager of all of the Jhoon Rhee martial arts schools, where he supervised and trained staff members, thereby influencing thousands of students. He has trained hundreds of black belts over the years, some of whom have gone on to open their own schools.

In 1989 Master Nyce opened his first Black Belt Academy in University Mall, Fairfax, Virginia. Since then he has expanded to open several more schools in the Centreville and Haymarket areas.

It would be difficult to find a more enthusiastic, charismatic, and positively motivating teacher than Master Nyce. Master Nyce loves to catch students doing things right! His positive reinforcement teaching style is a pleasure to watch, and it produces outstanding results. He believes that all things can be achieved if we set goals, have a positive attitude, and are dedicated! Master Nyce's energy is infectious. It is exactly what one should look for when one first walks through the door of a karate school.

Welcome to The Black Belt Academy, where you will be happily greeted at the door, treated like family, and reach heights you never thought possible. We teach life skills and the attitudes that support them... this is Master Nyce's philosophy.
